What are the limits of CNC router? Not much. It’s probably easier to just send a picture or drawing and start there.

The beauty of a computer numerically controlled (CNC) router is that there is less room for human error. Therefore, producing a large number of completely identical shapes is where this machine shines. From customer letters for a sign, to thousands of BBQ scrapers, to eight foot oval solid wood table tops, this machine consistently cuts beautiful.

It is less known that because the router spins at such high RPM’s that it creates cleaner cuts that require less finishing. In some cases no additional work is required and this can translate to high cost savings as well as a simplified workflow which creates less room for errors.

CNC routers are not limited to wood but excel at cutting other materials such as plastics, MDF, Melamine and Plywood.

Laminating

Maple Grove Laminating Inc. does a variety of unique laminating projects depending on the customer specifications. From small cutting boards to large table tops we have you covered.

The process begins with identifying which wood species will be utilized followed by planning the design. After the design is laid out the real work begins - preparing each piece for gluing. This aspect takes more time than all others combined. Next, the slab needs to be planed down to the required thickness. Finally, the CNC router gets the easy job to make the final cut. This step by step process can bring just about any solid wood dream creation to reality!

Dimensional products and finish sanding

This service is available for customers who require raw lumber to be cut to size and/or sanded. Either bring your own material or let us source it for you!
